Now it is a matter of keeping going. Finding the right part for the space needed, if the perfect part isn't quite perfect enough I will cut, bend, grind, file, fabricate, whatever it takes to make it fit correctly.

This can be a tedious process, but it is something that I can very easily get lost in. Find a part, clean the part, modify (or not) the part, repeat over and over. The trick for me is to keep the finished project in my mind's eye as I go.

Here you can see that much of the negative space is filled in. More clock springs and gears, and a good amount of bike chain. I really love bike chain as part, it is easy top maneuver, and is easily recognizable to just about everyone. It is more challenging to clean, but when it is cleaned up and in it's place looks really great. As I progress with the build I will be cleaning parts both prior to and after they get welded in.

The top shell getting close to being done. Filling the gaps in the outer "ring" and continuing with the cleaning and adding to. Next up making the flippers.
