Hold on to Your Old Work

So, the below image goes way way back. These are some of the very first projects I ever did. Done before I know very much at all about welding, and maybe less about taking pictures of my work.

My reason for posting and showing this pic, is to remind people to remember to keep your old works, or at least keep photographic record. (I still have these) It is nice for me to be able to go back and see how much better I am now than I was then. I still have so much room to get better, but I am at a point now where I can look at a piece I have done, and be happy with it. That doesn't mean I won't stop pushing myself to get better. I would say that is one of the positive things about the internet. I can view other artists work from around the world, and try to figure out how they did what they did with metal. Which then forces research and experimentation and therefore artistic growth.
